Words About Buildings in Melbourne

These eight 90-minute lectures discuss aspects of Melbourne architecture. They are based on key historical terms for architectural elements, styles, materials and construction systems, and how they have developed from earlier buildings in Europe and USA. Richard was invited to deliver the lectures to students of the Advanced Diploma of Building Design, at RMIT University from 19 August until 14 October 2014. I am grateful to Catherine Ciavarella, Program Coordinator Building Design (Architectural), RMIT, for commissioning the lectures; and to Andrew Rodda, Lecturer, for his technical and other support during them and over the past 26 years, to whom these lectures are dedicated.
